A leading distributor of solid fuels in Ireland was established in 2012 to service Irish fuel merchants. Headed up by Managing Director Niall McGuinness, who has more than 25 years experience in the trade, we have become a significant coal and smokeless fuel distributor in the Irish market.
It’s been ten years since we launched our market-leading smokeless fuel product, Ecoal. During that time, we’ve ensured that our research and development of our products continues and created a 50% organic product, making it the most sustainable grade 1 fuel on the market.
We are committed to including an ever-increasing proportion of biomass in our fuels, a goal that is supported by extensive investment in research and development. Our ultimate goal is the production of a 100% sustainable solid fuel briquette made from organic waste streams.
Alongside our smokeless fuel, we also produce kiln-dried logs in our forest in Latvia. All of our Homefire wood products are sourced from sustainable suppliers. Homefire’s kiln dried hardwood has a moisture content of less than 20%, which helps it burn hotter and for longer than unseasoned (wet) firewood.
In the future, we seek to offer a cost-effective, more energy-efficient, and greener alternative to traditional coal and a fuel that customers can rely on.
